Andrew Carter, President, CEO and Director
Mr. Carter managed exploration crews in the Leonora and Kimberly regions in Western Australia during the 1970s. In 1988 he was appointed Chief Executive of RAC Finance Limited, a non-bank owned commercial financier in Western Australia. During this time, he was also appointed Chairman and Director of Australian Finance Conference Limited and represented the industry as a panel member of the Commercial Tribunal for Western Australia. Mr. Carter was also admitted as an associate of the Australian Institute of Credit Management. In 1999, Mr. Carter relocated to Vancouver where he has been providing services as an independent corporate consultant and oversees the day-to-day corporate operations of Tinka. Mr. Carter also serves as an officer and/or director of other public reporting companies.
David Henstridge, Director
Mr. Henstridge holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from the University of Adelaide in Australia and professional designations from each of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and the Geological Society of Australia. Mr. Henstridge brings over 30 years of experience in the mining industry including 20 years in managing public-listed companies. Mr. Henstridge is the President and CEO of Tumi Resources Limited and is an officer and/or director of other public-listed mineral exploration companies.
Mr. Nick DeMare, Director
Mr. DeMare, a chartered accountant, has been President of Chase Management Inc. since 1991, providing accounting, management, securities regulatory compliance and corporate secretarial services to private and public-listed companies. Mr. DeMare also serves as an officer and/or director of a number of public-listed companies. Mr. DeMare holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and is a member in good standing of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia.
William Lee, Director
Mr. Lee holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and is a member in good standing of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia. Mr. Lee brings more than 19 years' financial management and accounting experience at both public and private companies to Tinka. He has held multiple senior-level finance positions, including Business Analyst with Ivanhoe Mines and Ivanhoe Energy. Since January 2006, Mr. Lee has held the position of CFO with Jinshan Gold Mines Inc.
Mariana Bermudez, Corporate Secretary
Ms. Bermudez has over 12 years of experience providing administrative assistance to public-listed companies and serves as corporate secretary to various reporting issuers. Ms. Bermudez has also been a legal secretary/assistant for two Vancouver law firms.
