Dr Carman is a geologist with 25 years experience in mineral exploration in South America, Australia and Asia. He graduated from Victoria University of Wellington New Zealand in 1986 with a First Class B.Sc. (Hons) before moving to Australia to work as a geologist for Kennecott and BP Minerals. Dr Carman completed a PhD at Monash University on the geology of the Lihir Island gold deposit in Papua New Guinea from 1990 -1993. For seven years from 1994 he lived in Peru assessing exploration projects for major mining companies including Rio Tinto, Savage Resources and Pasminco Ltd. He was Exploration Manager South America for Savage-Pasminco from 1997-2000 based in Lima. He was a key discovery team member of the Yanque and Accha zinc-lead discoveries in Peru (Rio Tinto, Savage), and significantly advanced the Bongara zinc deposit in Peru (Pasminco). From 2001 he worked with several junior Australian-based mineral explorers, co-founded and was Managing Director of Paradigm Metals, an ASX listed company, until 2011. From 2012 to 2014 he was President and CEO of Darwin Resources Corp., a company with exploration projects in Peru that merged with Tinka in July 2014. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, and is based in Sydney, Australia.

Mr. McKeown brings strong commercial, financial, strategic and technical experience to the board of Tinka. He has worked across various sectors and in a number of jurisdictions during his 25 years in resources including in iron ore, lithium, precious metals, base metals, and oil and gas. He has served on numerous listed and unlisted company boards as Chairman or non-executive director, including Ferrous Resources Limited, Senex Energy Ltd, Jordan Energy & Mining Ltd and Rincon Lithium Ltd. Mr. McKeown was a partner at Sentient Group for 10 years until May 2017. Previously, Mr. McKeown was an investment principal at Actis (previously CDC Group) for 7 years. Mr. McKeown graduated from Imperial College London with B. Eng (Hons) in Mining Engineering, and holds an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona.

Mr. DeMare, a chartered professional accountant, has been President of Chase Management Inc. since 1991, providing accounting, management, securities regulatory compliance and corporate secretarial services to private and public-listed companies. Mr. DeMare also serves as an officer and/or director of a number of public-listed companies. Mr. DeMare holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and is a member in good standing of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia.

Ms. Little has over twenty-five years of experience in the exploration and evaluation of epithermal precious metals deposits, porphyry and sediment-hosted mineral environments, including fifteen years based in Latin America. Ms. Little is a founder of and former president, chief executive officer and director of Mirasol Resources Ltd., a TSXV-listed exploration company, leading Mirasol’s growth as a successful prospect generator and its corporate development activities from 2003 until 2014. Ms. Little has also held management positions including business development manager and country manager with major mining corporations Newmont, Cyprus Amax and WMC Ltd. Ms. Little holds a M.Sc. degree in Earth Sciences from the University of California and an MBA from the University of Colorado. Ms. Little also serves on the boards of Sandstorm Gold Ltd. and Pure Energy Minerals Ltd.

Mr. Britz is an industrial engineer with over 25 years of experience as a mining professional, and has served on the board of a number of resource companies in Canada, Australia and China. He is a registered professional engineer, and a member of AusIMM. After spending 13 years in the mining industry in Africa with Kumba Resources, Mr. Britz spent 3 years in investment banking with Royal Bank of Canada, and 10 years as a senior investment professional in private equity with The Sentient Group. Mr. Britz was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of Canadian listed resources company Era Resources Inc. from 2014 to 2017. Mr Britz is currently a Managing Partner at private equity group Sentient Equity Partners.

Mr. Benavides was appointed as a director of Compañía de Minas Buenaventura S.A.A., a Peruvian mining company founded 1953 and listed in the Lima Stock Exchange and in the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: BVN) in January 2021. Prior to that, Mr. Benavides held the position of Vice President Business Development of Buenaventura from 1997 to 2020. Mr. Benavides graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla. He holds a Master’s Degree in Mining Administration from Pennsylvania State University and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School (AMP-160). He has served as president of the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), as well as being the founder and president of the Mining Safety Institute (ISEM). He is currently the President of the vocational mining school CETEMIN. He has worked at Buenaventura since 1980, and is a director of eleven related companies.

Mr. Jones Belther is the Senior VP-Mineral Exploration & Technology at Nexa Resources SA. He is on the Board of Directors at Nexa Resources Perú SAA, Nexa Resources Atacocha SAA and Votorantim Metals Canada, Inc. Mr. Belther was previously employed as a Senior VP-Mineral Exploration & Technology by Votorantim Metais SA and a Country Manager by Companhia Vale do Rio Doce. He is graduate on Geology and has a Msc degree on Regional Geology and Mineral Exploration by Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio De Mesquita Filho Unesp.
