Buenaventura

Compañía de Minas Buenaventura S.A.A. (“Buenaventura”) is a leading Peruvian mining company. Established in 1953, Buenaventura has grown to become one of the foremost precious metals mining companies in Peru. The company operates eight mines across Peru (predominantly gold but also silver and base metals) and has a minority stake in a large copper mine operated by Freeport. The Uchucchacua and El Brocal mining operations in central Peru lie within 30 km of Ayawilca. Buenaventura was the first Latin American mining company to list on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in 1996, and it is headquartered in Lima, Peru.

Nexa Resources

Nexa has nine operations distributed between Brazil and Peru, including three zinc refineries and six mines. Nexa owns and operates the largest underground zinc mine in Peru (Cerro Lindo) and the largest zinc refinery in the Americas (Cajamarquilla) also in Peru. Nexa is the 4th largest producer of zinc in the world. The company also produces copper, lead, silver and gold as by-products. The company is headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and is listed on the NYSE.
